Place a hold on any book, DVD, audio recording, and/or Blue-ray on the library's catalog. This service is available through our online catalog at or in person at the circulation desk.
Books may be renewed by phone or in person. You can also renew them yourself from the comfort of your home by logging into your Library Account at
You must schedule an appointment. Call 609-822-4700, email, firstname.lastname@example.org or stop in to arrange a time. The person needing the document notarized MUST be present at the scheduled time and show a current photo ID. The notary is not a lawyer. A charge of $2.50 will be assessed per notarized page.
A large selection of DVDs and Blu-ray films are available to you. Movies are free to take home for 7 days. After 7 days, they are $1.00 a day per movie. You can have 5 movies per household at one time.
The Library and computer stations are handicapped & accessible. Both the front and rear entrances to the library have automatic door openers.
Book Scan Station
Convert images, documents, and more into into .pdf or .jpg file formats. Scan items for free onto a USB memory stick or send them via email.
Sometimes a book or another item is hard to find. Don't worry, we can help. Just place a request and out staff will query a large network of member libraries.
Wireless Internet access is available free of charge at the Margate Public Library. To access the wireless Internet, bring your own portable computer or wireless device.
Mobile Printing Services
You can print emails, documents, photos, boarding passes, web pages, and more at the Margate City Free Public Library. Print directly for a library computer or use your smart phone, tablet, home computer, or laptop to send a mobile print request.
PC Work Stations
Free access to computers with Internet access is available to all patrons.
